OFFICE MASTER SYSTEM for Retail Back Office Inventory Control System
Inventory Control
Designed specifically for the Retail industry OMS POS delivers all the
functionality for a single store operation to a multi-store, multi-register
environment. Real-time electronic scanning updates sales and inventory
instantly. Each sales person can be reconciled at days end and a store closing
transmits a super invoice to headquarters for update into the back office
accounting and control systems.
Polling
OMS can electronically poll the activities using Symantecs pcAnywhere. With
the easy to use setup, polling can be scheduled to begin after the last store
closes. The polling process calls each location and picks up all of the sales
files generated since the last time polling occurred.
|
|
OMS then creates a backup file at the POS, in the event the polling is
interrupted. After all stores are polled, OMS processes all sales and returns,
automatically. OMS then generates an updated inventory file and calls each
store back to update them.
Register Check In
Easy to check in, OMS allows for multiple shifts and check in times to insure
an accurate accounting of cash and transactions by sales person. The POS will
not allow a salesperson to check in again without closing their shift and
counting their cash drawer. OMS allows for a Re-Check In for those times when
it is needed.

|
Starting Cash Count
OMS facilitates easy cash accounting by providing a Starting Cash Count screen
that requires the sales person only to count the number of bills and coins
THE SYSTEM TOTALS THE AMOUNT FOR THEM! This same concept is used when the sales
person closes the shift and counts out the cash drawer.
The POS Screen
Easy to use and see, the POS Screen was designed with the help of retailers to
be simple, efficient and easy for any sales person to use and understand. THE
POS CAN BE USED WITH OR WITHOUT A MOUSE!
All functions are easily identified at the top of the screen. Simply select the
function that is to be completed and begin scanning the items.
The POS handles Sales, Returns, Exchanges, Inventory Lookups, Discounts, and
Register and Store Closings.
If an item is scanned and it is not to be found in the database, then the
system defaults to ITEM and jumps to the Price Column to enter price. Password
protection allows for Discounts and Price corrections.

Payment Tender Screen
Large, easy to read Payment Tendering Screen shows the number of items scanned
and the total quantity of units. This allows the sales person to easily check
items before bagging, helping to prevent mistakes that cause shrinkage.
The customer can easily see that amount due and the change amount that they can
expect to receive. In many cases, pole displays can be eliminated, saving
equipment costs.

Register/Store Closing
The OMS POS System allows for multiple shift closings with an easy Closeout
screen. The sales person or cashier can count out their starting cash or bank
by using the same Cash Count Screen that they opened with by selecting F2. The
software deducts the amounts as they are counted. The amount of checks, credit
cards and other payment types are totaled and a space is provided for those
numbers to be entered. When the Difference field gets to zero they have
balanced the cash drawer.
Store Closing Recap shows management a breakdown of all registers and shifts
for that day. It cannot be edited since it reflects the actual shift closeout.
Management can review any stores past closeout reports for any date or range of
dates.
