Of our proven OMS warehouse management system (WMS), can improve your companies' warehouse productivity and efficiency, and save on operating costs. The OMS WMS allows you to segment your stored closer to the ground, while slow moving items may be stored up high. Thus storing the fast moving products at lower levels facilitates considerable efficiencies in time and productivity.

Benefits of the OMS WMS is the system's ability to assist warehouse managers to plan ahead effectively for deliveries. This can also lead to increased inventory accuracy which would have a major impact on productivity planning in a company. With radio-frequency (RF) equipment, time is saved because a physical sign off through a supervisor is unnecessary.

The OMS WMS can prioritize, plan and, optimize your schedule

Ensuring that the user receives their next task as soon as the current task has been completed. Real-time verification eliminates errors and leads to greater accuracy.

The use of RFID scanning

Increases warehouse efficiency with even greater results. With the built-in RFID scanning application, the picker is better equipped for efficiency. The OMS WMS system can send an instruction on which products must be picked directly to the picker through the scanner. The picker then confirms order pick through his scanner and continues. This can lead to increased responsiveness especially in industry-specific markets that are subject to peaks due to demand spikes.

Unit-of-Measure:

Allows you to direct picking from different locations of the same SKU based upon the quantity or unit-of-measured ordered. For example, pick quantities less than 25 units could pick directly from the primary bin-picking location while quantities greater than 25 would pick from reserve bin-storage locations.

Key Features Include:

Location Sequence: Zone, Aisle, Row, Shelf…

This is the simplest logic; you simply define a flow through your warehouse and assign a sequence number to each location. In order picking this is used to sequence your picks to flow through the warehouse, in put-away OMS WMS will look for the first location in the sequence in which the product would fit.

Reserved Locations:

This is used when you want to predetermine specific bin-locations to put-away to or pick from. An application for reserved locations would be cross-docking, where you may specify certain quantities of an inbound shipment be moved to specific outbound staging locations or directly to an awaiting outbound trailer.

Maximize Cube:

Cube logic is found in OMS WMS systems Cube logic uses unit dimensions compared to bin location cube to calculate and then compares to the cube capacity of the location to determine how much will fit and OMS WMS lets you know if the units are capable of being stacked into the bin-location

Consolidate/Transfer:

See's if there is already a location with the same product stored in it with available capacity and, creates additional moves to consolidate like product stored in multiple locations.

Lot Sequence:

Is used for picking or replenishment, this will use the lot number or lot date to determine locations to pick from or replenish from ensuring FIFO movement from the bin-location.

Integration with OMS ERP Systems:

The OMS WMS has already been integrated to the OMS ERP system. This is ideally what you seek in an integrated the OMS WMS and ERP OMS system. This integration uses all the very familiar functionalities of OMS ERP with the easy-to-use OMS WMS system.

OMS WMS and OMS ERP:

A lot of modules have been added to the OMS WMS system and when combined through integration to the OMS ERP you will have full financials, transportation management, purchasing, and sales order management. We see this as a unilateral move of ERP and WMS as a natural add-on module to our core system. We also see it as an optional approach to integrated ERP and WMS in industry-specific markets such as 3PLs.

In Conclusion:

Using our OMS ERP systems as a point of reference, it is likely that this add-on functionality will match the functionality of best-of-breed applications available separately. If warehousing/distribution is your core business function and you don't want to have to deal with the integration issues of incorporating separate financials, order processing, etc. you may find our OMS ERP and OMS WMS business systems are a good fit.
